unday, the Fort Scott Police Department discovered Leslie Bernard Howard had been taken into custody by the Frontenac Police Department as a burglary suspect, according to a press release from the FSPD.

Frontenac police officials advised local officers that some of the items Howard had in his possession were likely taken from a business in the local area. Officers found evidence of a burglary and indications that items from the business had been taken, the press release said.

Two other area businesses -- Alignment Service/Supply, 24 W. 19th, and Espressly For You, 1900 S. Main -- reported burglaries that same morning. However, it is unknown at this time if the incidents are related, according to the press release.
