About 50 artists from Kansas, Missouri and North Carolina will have their work on display and for sale in the multi-media exhibit.
Bourbon County artists who are participating in the exhibit include Minnie Lou Allen, Ottis Allen, Debbie Anderson, Bob Eckles, Nancy Cragg, Barbara Gibson, Jeanie Hart, Tara Holt, John Leigh, Bobbi Kemna, Whendi Martin and Dorothy Todd.
Art students from Pleasanton High School and Jayhawk Linn High School will also have their work on display.
Steven Greenwall, a long-time art instructor at Allen County Community College in Iola, will serve as judge for the event. Greenwall is also a practicing artist and won a first place award in last year's competition.
The BCAC will host the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce Coffee at 8 a.m. Thursday. The exhibit will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. There is no admission charge.
Partial funding for the exhibit is provided by the Kansas Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
