RAY M SHEPHERD

Ray M. Shepherd, 89, longtime resident, businessman and civic leader in Fort Scott, Kan., and founder of Ray Shepherd Motors, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Presbyterian Village in Fort Scott.

Rev. Reed Hartford will conduct funeral services and a celebration of life, 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at the First Christian Church, 101 S. Judson, Fort Scott.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Ray's memory to First Christian Church, Presbyterian Village Good Samaritan Fund, or Alzheimer's Association -- Heartland Chapter. Memorials may be sent to or left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
