Uniontown Ruritan Club has meeting

President Dale Jackson called the Uniontown Ruritan meeting to order at 7 p.m., Jan. 19 in the annex of the First United Methodist church. He led the club in singing "America" followed by the invocation by Ken Holt.

The club members thanked the United Methodist women for the delicious meal of ham, beans, combread, vegetable tray, and home made pie which they prepared.

Secretary, Raymond "Skeet" George called the roll with 14 members present

The Treasurers Report was given by Chad Holt. Expenses to the operating fund were For Ruritan pins. Deposits to the fund included dues and guest meals. Foundation expenses for January were UMW Christmas meeting meals and reimbursement to Leo Hartman for needy families. Jake Underwood moved the Treasurers Report be approved, and with a second by Jared Lord.

President Dale Jackson announced the 2009 handbook was at the printers and would be available for the February meeting.

Ken Holt moved that club dues remain at $100.00 per year if paid in full, or $25.50 if paid quarterly. The motion was seconded by Jimmie Bolinger, and the motion carried.

Randy Rockhold presented a request from Rhonda Hoener for club support of a student to KC Global Conference in March, in Kansas City again this year. It was moved by Jake Underwood that we give the $170 needed and with a second by Leo Hartman the motion carried.

Randy Rockhold moved that the club have a fundraiser at the ballgame on Feb. 13 and serve chili and cinnamon rolls. Randy asked members to let Dale Jackson know what time they wanted to work. The motion carried.

Joe George moved and Randy Rockhold seconded that the club meeting adjourn with the flag salute. The motion carried, and the club members adjourned.
