This obituary was written by Ron Danley before he passed away.

Ronald R. Danley, 68 of Pittsburg, Kan. passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at his residence following a period of illness.

Ron was born Oct. 4, 1940 in Ft Scott, Kan., the son of Roy William and Marie (Faulhaber) Danley.

He graduated from Fulton High School in Fulton, Kan.

Ron was a heavy equipment operator working for Cherrington Corp for 17 years.

He married Janice Franklin on Dec. 29, 1991.

Ron attended St Patricks Church in Fulton, Kan.; Osage Hills Baptist Church in Osage Beach, Mo and Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, Kan.

He is survived by his wife Janice of the home in Pittsburg. Daughter: Pamela Martin and husband Rich of Osage Beach, Mo.; Two sons: Lewis Giltner of Girard, Kan. and Terry Giltner and wife Romi of Chouteau, Okla.; Parents: Roy and Marie Danley of Fort Scott, Kan. Grandchildren: Nicholas and Courtney Giltner, Ashli and Justin Giltner, Joshua, Austin and Morgan Martin. Sister: Sandra Stinnett of Fort Scott, Kan.

Memorial services took place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 in the Murdock Chapel with John Book officiating.
