Friday, January 2, 2009
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, a silver Buick Century, driven by John Jackson, 79, Fort Scott, struck and breached a wall and large window at Pumpin' Pete's gas station, 1920 S. Main. For reasons not released as of press time, instead of stopping once in the parking place, Jackson's vehicle continued moving forward through the gas station's large window, finally coming to a stop inside the building, according to police. The Fort Scott Police Department reported, Jackson suffered no injuries from the crash. However, EMS was called in to determine if the incident was caused because of a possible medical condition.
