RUBY MARIE DUNCAN

Ruby Marie Duncan Fairbanks, 97 of Fort Scott, died Thursday morning, Dec. 18, 2008 at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 2, 1911 in Orcola, Mo., the daughter of Charles Burton and Eliza Jane (Thompson) Duncan. She married Charles Arthur Fairbanks Sept. 2, 1933 in Eldorado Springs, Mo. He preceded her in death June 26, 1975.

She is survived by a daughter; Charlotte Clark Cameron of Fort Scott, a grandson; Rodney Clark and his wife Diana, seven great grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Charles, Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Alberta May Query Bishard, two brothers; Carl Duncan, and Earl Duncan, an infant brother, and a grandson; Michael R. Clark.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at the Clarksburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to services, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
