By league rules, the all-league team could not be released until the last team had finished its season, which happened Saturday when Coffeyville and Columbus lost Class 4A Regional Playoff games.
Players were chosen regardless of position, which is why you may see several players who played quarterback or running back on each team, although some of those players may have been picked as a defensive player.
Fort Scott senior Mitchell Stoughton was named to the First Team. Stoughton scored 11 touchdowns on offense this season and was one of the league's top 10 scorers.
Others on the first team include five members of league champion Pittsburg: Zach White, Aaron Burns, Fred Sellars, Jordan Brown and Cougar VonFeldt. Five members of runner-up Columbus were also named: Matt Crain, Justin Rogers, Justin Pillar, Damion Tinning and Tank Burns.
Ty Blanchard, who finished the season with a league-record 28 touchdowns was one of four Chanute players chosen along with Kevin Martin Craig Gilmore and Matt Bolig.
John Shapel, Connor Frazell, Keifer Luttrell and Drew Mueller represent Iola on the First Team. Ethan Cordray and Jordan Nash represent Coffeyville. Ethan Speicher, Rhett Flood and Grant Webster of Independence and Brannon Green and Jaymes Blair of Labette County were also tabbed.
Quarterback-fullback-linebacker Aaron Judy and receiver-defensive back Brandon Boyd represent Fort Scott on the Second Team. Others on the team include Tanner Smith, Jordan Elliott, Aaron Cook, Keenan Soles and Jace Erwin of Pittsburg, Lewis Kellogg, Dale Benedict and Chase Leonard of Columbus, and Loren Jones, Craig Pervin and Daniel Kinkel of Chanute.
Also on the Second Team are Kyler Thompson, Keegan Luttrell and Darin Hutton of Iola, Daniel Rosson and Kameron Tompkins of Coffeyville, Andrew Panye and Nic Boyle of Independence, Jordan Lambkins of Labette County and Jordan Marlow of Parsons.
Lineman Nick Wallace and receiver-defensive back Gary Floyd were picked to represent Fort Scott on the Honorable Mention list. Also on the list are Jon Nichols of Pittsburg, Wade Robinson, David Lloyd and Zach Oels of Columbus, Christian Cruz, Jeremy Herrold and Garrett Sharp of Chanute, Chris Heffern and Marcus Sullivan of Iola, Calvin Sparks and Kendall Thompkins of Coffeyville, Aaron Grow and John Hambleton of Labette County and Corey Beachner of Parsons.
