Two members of Fort Scott High School's volleyball team received First Team honors on the All-Southeast Kansas League volleyball team released recently.
The Tigers, fifth in the league this season and 21-15 overall, saw seniors Annie Gladbach and Brittany Bingesser named to the First Team. The only other school with more than one player on the First Team was Independence, which saw senior Kelsie Meier and junior Jessica Bruington named. Indy tied for second in the SEK with Chanute.
Although Pittsburg was the league champion and Chanute was tied for second, each only had one person named to the First Team, although both were unanimous picks. Ali Aylward of Chanute and Kristina Willis of Pittsburg, both juniors, received that honor.
Rounding out the First Team is Jade Lambkins of Labette County, which also tied for second place.
The Second Team consists of seniors Gabby Hinman of Labette County, Chrissy Thomen of Chanute, Brittany Jacobs of Iola and Cierra Lamb of Parsons and juniors Jessica Wade and Kelly Clark of Pittsburg.
The Third Team has seniors Amanda Matthews of Independence, Milan Piva of Parsons, Savanna Cook of Chanute and juniors Danielle Crain of Columbus, Kathryn Montague of Pittsburg and Kameron Braman of Chanute.
