According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Christina L. Howard, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 180th Street and Juniper Rd., about four miles west of U.S. Highway 69. It is currently unknown whether Caldwell was wearing a safety restraint at the time of the accident. She was transported to Mercy Health Center with as-yet undetermined injuries.
