Organ finished in seventh place with a nine-hole score of 58. She also medaled at the Girard Tournament on Sept. 23.
Shelby Blackburn was the only other Tiger not to suffer a setback. She finished with a 62, missing out on a top-10 finish by one stroke. Blackburn has been shooting between 58 and 62 in her nine-hole tournaments all season.
"Cassie had an okay day," Fort Scott head coach Karen Curran said. "(I'm) still looking for her to find consistency in her game. Shelby was real consistent again and had some great shots, also had her first birdie on a par-3. I'm looking forward to seeing how she will continue to improve over the next two weeks. The rest of the team was very disappointed in their performance. The positive outlook is that we go out again on Monday and they have a chance to redeem themselves and then prep for Regionals."
Kacie Brown shot a 66 for the Tigers while Morgan Morasch shot 71, Dana Ballou 73 and Katie Bristley 78. Just a couple of weeks ago at Girard, each one had shot much lower scores.
"Overall, a pretty disappointing day," Curran said. "I feel like we significantly underachieved on that course."
Columbus was the team champion with a 232 followed by Fredonia with a 240, Girard at 255 and Fort Scott with a 257. Lacie Hale of Columbus won individual honors with a 49.
The Tigers end their regular season Monday at Anderson County with an 18-hole tournament. The following Monday, they'll return there for a Class 4A Regional Tournament.
