PLEASANTON -- Pleasanton's volleyball team beat Altoona-Midway, 25-23, 17-25, 25-18, 25-12, in a best-of-five Three Rivers League dual here Tuesday night.
It wasn't pretty, Blu-Jay head coach Danny Looney said.
"Unfortunately, it was one of our poorer performances," Looney said. "Our serve receive was bad and our passing was even worse. Kim Robinson kept us in control of the games with her passing. She is showing that she is one of the top passers in the league."
Carlee Campbell recorded 15 kills in the match. Robinson had seven and Rachel Richmond was credited with five.
Johnnea Saulsberry dished out 15 assists in the match while Rachel Landrum doled out seven.
Defensively, Campbell had four blocks and Robinson had 11 digs. Saulsberry had nine digs and Richmond finished with seven.
"Johnnea Saulsberry continues to impress me," Looney said, "especially only being a sophomore. She just doesn't make many mistakes. She is also playing the net very well from her setter position. Campbell also had another big night at the net."
Pleasanton improved to 2-1 in the TRL and 7-14 overall. The Blu-Jays will be at Uniontown Tuesday night for a league triangular that will also include Crest.
