As a team, the Tigers finished in sixth place with an 18-hole score of 453. Columbus won the team title, shooting 408. Carl Junction, Mo., was next at 411. Caney Valley was third at 424.
The Tigers didn't have any medalists but several of the players shot new personal lows for 18 holes, according to Fort Scott head coach Karen Curran.
Kacie Brown was the low scorer for the Tigers, shooting 55 on the front nine and 54 on the back for a total of 109.
"Kacie Brown was really steady throughout the tournament and just barely missed medaling," Curran said. "She played pretty well, but was a little disappointed with herself. She was hoping to be right around 100."
Riley Wunderly, moved up from the junior varsity for this tournament, shot 62-50--112. The 50 on the back nine was her low for the season over nine holes.
Cassie Organ was next for the Tigers at 61-52--113. That was followed by Shelby Blackburn's 61-58--119. The 58 was her career low for nine holes and her total was a career low for 18.
Morgan Morasch with next her 57-64--121 and Katie Bristley with a 64-76--140. Morasch's 57 and 121 were her career bests for nine and 18 holes, respectively.
