Saying goodbye ...

Jason Silvers/Tribune Photo Fort Scott Public Safety Director Jeff Davis waits to address the crowd during a reception in his honor Tuesday in the Fire Department bay of the Hawkins Public Safety Facility. Davis was honored by many of his colleagues, friends and family members, and various city officials for 13 total years of service with the Fort Scott Fire Department and Fort Scott Police Department. Davis has accepted a job as the Deputy Fire Chief in Topeka. His last day in his current position is Saturday.

Why would he beg for his job back? Everything I have heard makes it sound like he is going to a far better job.

Don't get too teary eyed. He's most likely gonna be back real soon begging for his job back.
