STANLEY

Juanita Stanley, age 94, a lifelong resident of Fort Scott, Kansas, died Monday, September 29, 2008, at the Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott. She was born September 18, 1914, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Harry L. Daum and Effie Baldwin Daum. She married Roy W. Stanley on May 27, 1931, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1964. Juanita was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed beadwork, playing the piano and quilting.

Survivors include three sons, Dale Stanley, Kingsville, Mo., Louis Stanley, Parsons, Kan., and Jim Stanley, Mission, Kansas; and a daughter, Judy Johnson, Copan, Okla. Also surviving are two brothers, Harry Daum and Richard Daum, both of Fort Scott; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Rev. Scott Moore will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of the Nazarene and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
