FSHS soccer falls

PITTSBURG -- Fort Scott High School's soccer team took a 2-0 loss to Pittsburg in Southeast Kansas League play here Tuesday.

Fedelix Kyaw scored for Pittsburg (1-2 SEK, 3-2 overall) in the 55th minute of play. Javier Reyes scored in the 70th minute.

The Tigers (2-2-0, 2-4-1) host defending Class 4-3-2-1A State champion Independence at 4:30 this afternoon at Ellis Park. The junior varsity contest with follow at about 6 p.m.

Saturday, Fort Scott will step out of league play to take on Paola. Play there will begin at 1 p.m.
