William Joseph Krupinski

William Joseph Krupinski, 81, of Richards, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at the Veteran's Hospital, in Kansas City, after a brief illness.

Born in Sheridan, N.Y., Nov. 10, 1926, Mr. Krupinski was the son the late John P. Krupinski and Katherine (Kopacz) Krupinski.

Mr. Krupinski served in the United States Army during World War II, being assigned to the Pacific Theatre and later stationed in Japan at the time the war ended.

Returning from the war, Mr. Krupinski attended Automotive Engine and Transmission School, in Kansas City, Mo. His work kept him in that area until his retirement, when he moved to Arkansas and operated a business raising chickens. Later he returned to Missouri, residing in Richards, where he reared beef cattle on a farm

He was a member of the Church of God of Holiness, located in Fort Scott.

Mr. Krupinski is survived by his wife, Barbara; stepchildren, Walter L. Louck, of Lathrop, Mo., Eriene Reno, of Mission, Kan.; two granddaughters, Durenda Holland, of Olathe, Kan., and Chimane Reno, of Tonganoxie, Kan.; two great-granddaughters, LeShae Miller and Chelsea Miller, both of Tonganoxie, Kan.; two brothers, John Krupinski, of Fredonia, N.Y., and Henry Krupinski, of Silver Creek, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Felix (Helen) Fetter, of Dunkirk, N.Y., and Sister Monica Krupinski, SSJ of Clarence, N.Y. Mr. Krupinski is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Anthony, Michael, Peter, Frank and George Krupinski; and four sisters, Agnes Krupinski, Mrs. Mary Mattingly, Sister Victoria Krupinski, SSJ, and Mrs. Stephanie Mahoney.

Funeral arrangements are under direction of Evergreen Memorial Chapel, with services to be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Richards Cemetery, in Richards.

A memorial book may be signed Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., on Monday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Tuesday prior to the services.
