The Jayhawks did not have full teams in either the boys' or girls' division but did have two girls finish in the top 10.
Meriel Long ran her two miles in 14 minutes, 13 seconds to finish in sixth place. Sylvia Grant turned in a time of 14:21 to finish ninth. They were the only Jayhawks competing.
Cass-Midway's Mackenzie Weis was the winner in 13:32.
David Troth was Jayhawk-Linn's highest placer in the boys' race, finishing 27th with a time of 13:14. Bryce Northcutt was 42nd in 14:05 and Ryan Poole was 51st in 14:16.
West Platte's (Mo.) Dirk Hudson won the race in 11:20.
Jayhawk-Linn will run at Fort Scott's invitational Thursday. The race begins at 4 p.m. on the Great West (Cigna) Insurance grounds on South Horton Street.
