Emma Della Reicheneker, age 80, a resident of Hidden Valley Lake, Mapleton, Kan., died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
She was born April 9, 1928, in Louisburg, Kan., the daughter of Charles Heritage and Nona Livingston Heritage. She married Calvin Reicheneker on December 24, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. Emma had worked at the Nu-Way Drive In on Independence Ave., in Kansas City, Mo., and later she worked as a clerk at a convenience store.
Mr. and Mrs. Reicheneker moved from the Kansas City area to Hidden Valley in 1984. Emma was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and also a devoted wife, she will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin, of the home; a son, Ricky Reicheneker; and two daughters, Linda Vaughn, Bonner Springs, Kan., and Brenda Henderson, LaCygne, Kan. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elmer and Charles Heritage.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2008, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the U. S. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
