Evelyn Lavene (Rhoton) Stipp, 87, died Saturday, August 9, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz. She was born December 25, 1920, to William Eli and Evelyn Rhoton. She was a 1939 graduate of Bronson High School and a long time resident of Auburn, Wash. She was married to Earl Stipp, July 22, 1940, who preceded her in death. After his death, she moved to Tucson, Ariz., to live with her sister, Edwina Swope. She retired from Boeing Airplane Plant and enjoyed rock hounding with her husband. She also enjoyed flowers and traveling.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles W. Rhoton and wife, Julia Ann, Bronson, Kan., Larry Rhoton and wife, Janet, Hiawatha, Kan., and a sister, Edwina Swope, Tucson, Ariz. Also surviving are six nieces and nephews, thirteen great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew.
There was cremation. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the Bronson Cemetery.
