King salmon, flounder and trout were caught and served as the main course for the three nights there. The Space Needle and Pike's Market in Seattle, a train ride, Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helen, plus a good share of northwest Washington, Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean were visited.
Sheryl Crow Mowry, a Cottey graduate and Stanley Mowry were married Aug. 31, 1958, in the First Presbyterian Church, Rapid City, S.D. Their children are Steve and Ann Mowry, Trimble, Mo., and their daughters Rebecca and Elizabeth Mowry, Kansas City, Mo.; Brad and Cecelia Mowry, Dennis and Whitney of Nevada, Mo.; Lyn Mowry Jones and Richard Jones and daughter Rachael, Leigh Mowry Volkland and Dietrich Volkland and daughters Hannah and Molly, of Aliso Viejo, Calif.
Stan and Sheryl were given a DVD presentation created by Leigh and Dietrich Volkland which included pictures from their childhood on through the births and marriages of their children and grandchildren. They were also given a printed album of the pictures and a digital photo frame. A cake decorated for the occasion with yellow roses was served.
