Bessie Caroline Caldwell

Bessie Caroline Caldwell, age 93, former resident of Arcadia, Kansas and more recently of Miami, Oklahoma died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at the Osborne Care and Rehab Center, in Miami. She was born Oct. 8, 1914, in Manhattan, Kan., the daughter of Thomas Endicott and Minnie Fisk Endicott. She married Earl Caldwell on Oct. 10, 1932. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2004. She was a member of the Cherry Grove Baptist Church. Bessie had worked as a machine operator for Mid-America Business Forms which later became Ward-Kraft.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Sindle, and husband, Ron, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two grandsons, Richard Anderson and Mike Anderson, and a step-grandson, Mike Sindle. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Caldwell and Alvin Caldwell; a daughter, Carol Caldwell; two brothers, Martin Endicott and Donald Endicott; four sisters, Lucille Dawson, Donna McReynolds, Mabel Wiggins and Beulah Mabery; and a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Anderson.

The Rev. R.B. Shoemaker, will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at the Large Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cheney Witt Chapel from 1 p.m., until leaving for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
