Mary Bruner, Secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting. Alice Clayton gave the Love Gift dedication, taking her scripture from Lamentations 22-33.
Judy Ramsey gave the White Cross Report, advising that the group had prepared 100 rolls of bandages that will go to Missionaries in Africa.
Laura Feldhudt gave the lesson, using Scripture from St., Mark Chapter 9, verses 36-37 and Mark 10: 14-16, discussing the faith of little children.

Andy Reese and his wife, Georgia, are here visiting her mother, Hazel Burt and other friends and relatives.
The United Methodist Women met Wednesday, May 14, with seven ladies present. The meeting was opened with a prayer by the president, Janice Ramsey. She thanked all those who provided food for the funeral reception at the Carriage house.
The Purpose was read in unison. Devotions were led by Lavon Middleton who took her text from Psalms, 145:18. Roll Call was answered by naming ones favorite flower. The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved as read. The treasurer gave her report.
New business included the literature on the annual Bithel Fruit Campaign, and that orders will be due June 25, to Margaret Hartman, Treasurer, June 25. Order blanks may be obtained from Beverly Geiger at (620) 756-4508.
The Ruritan dinner for May 19, was planned, with Pauline Hartman as Chairman. The meal was planned and all will contributing food as needed
Carol George announced that Rev. Tim and Paula Ulrich will be leaving for South Africa early in June to enter the Missionary Field.

Nonna Dunn, wife of Pastor Joel Dunn, is planning a Vacation Bible School, "The Boot Scootin Roundup" to be held on July 11 to 13, from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. All children are welcome to attend, and enjoy the lessons, fun, and crafts.
Dewaine and Beverly Geiger attended the Fort Scott Community College Graduation services held in Memorial hall on Friday Evening and saw their grand-daughter Heather Geiger receive her diploma from the Nursing Department. Bob and Louise Geiger, Tulsa, also attended the graduation, then spent Friday night with their parents before returning home. Pat and Kenneth Ramsey, Joplin, also were in attendance.
On May 22, Catherine Geiger graduated from the eighth grade at the Memorial Auditorium in Pittsburg. Dewaine and Beverly Geiger attended the ceremony as well as her parents Jeff and Bethanne Geiger, Lauren and Kristin, Pittsburg, and Larry and Meredith Runkle of Ft. Scott. After the services, all joined together at Braum's for treats and a time to visit and celebrate the occasion.
