MOORE

Dorothy Ann Moore, age 63, resident of 1524 E. Wall, Fort Scott, Kansas died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at her home. She was born February 3, 1945 in Arcadia, Kansas the daughter of Floyd M. Ham and Geneva Crystal Blackburn Ham. Dorothy was a 1963 graduate of Arcadia High School. She moved from Hiattville to Fort Scott in 1998. Dorothy married Frank L. Moore on June 23, 2000 in Fort Scott. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Arcadia. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, especially crocheting. She was also known as an excellent cook.

Survivors include her husband, Frank, of the home; one son, Ronald Brown, Kansas City; two daughters, Ronnette Bincent and husband Pat, Hiattville, Kansas and Melinda Collins, Fort Scott; one step-son, Lonnie Moore and wife Stormy, Fort Scott; and one step-daughter, Brenda Hathaway and husband David, Fulton, Kansas. Also surviving are three brothers, Richard Ham, Grove, Oklahoma, Howard Ham, Fort Scott and Dale Ham, Orange Grove, California; two sisters, Helen Bean Green, Fort Scott and Jean Ham, Arcadia, Kansas; one step daughter-in-law, Stephanie Aherns, Arizona; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, David Brown and one step-son, David Moore.

According to her wishes, following cremation, private family services were held. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Shrine Children's Transportation Fund and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
