The family of Paul Laurence Boyington announces his home going on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. He departed this life at the age of 53, from Olathe Medical Center, in Olathe, Kan.

Paul will be forever remembered by his children Tiffani Lewis, Leavenworth, Kan.; Brandi Johnson, LaTia and Melissa Adams, Chynna and Ajja Boyington, all of Kansas City, Kan. Also left behind are his siblings Kenneth Boyington, Olathe, Kan.; Brian Boyington, Maryland; Jeffery Boyington, Fort Scott, Kan.; Carletta Johnson, Lenexa, Kan., and Randall Boyington, Kansas City, Kan. As well as former wife and special friend, Virginia Aileen Boyington, five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Paul has went to home to be with his parents Thomas and Edith Boyington, brothers Gary, John and Douglas Boyington, and sister Leola Boyington.

Paul was born in Olathe, Kan., on January 18, 1955, he attended Olathe High School and later obtained his GED. Paul served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1976. He was a hard working man all of his life, working for the city of Olathe for several years and later moving to Fort Scott, working as a rotor operator and construction laborer until his health failed. Paul's hobbies included fishing, collecting sunglasses, cooking, listening to music, watching wrestling but above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Elite Funeral Chapel, 11525 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, Mo. 64134, graveside Leavenworth National Cemetery.
