Esther Secrest spent Mother's Day weekend with her daughter, Dixie Wooley and "boys." Sunday, Michael and Lynette Moreau, Michael Hodges and Leah Hankins, and Ivan and Brooklyn joined them.

Ed and Opal Brillhart accompanied Marc, Diane and Clay Brillhart to Neosho, Mo., May 9, to attend the graduation of Mark's daughter, Breanne, who graduated from Crowder College. Breanne's son, Cooper, and other family members attended and afterwards they had dinner at Applebees.
Anna Rourk, Beulah Queen, Esther Secrest, and Dorothy Ketner enjoyed lunch at Otto's in Pittsburg, May 14.
Visitors with Lucile Wolf, May 16, were Diane Wolf and son, Ryan, Springfield, Mo. They were here to decorate the graves of loved ones.
The Jolly Circle Club met with Esther Secrest, May 14. Pres. Hazel Gulliford conducted the meeting. The group said the Pledge to the Flag and sang, "When You and I Were Young Maggie", "Hand Me Down", and the theme song "The More We Get Together". Nine members answered roll with something about Mother's Day. The hostess read the scripture and the good thought. The club voted to do away with the montly collection. Mary Ellen Lundberg won the hostess gift. The Lord's Prayer was prayed. Bingo, was played with winners Ruby Alice Myers, Mary Seaver, Mary Ellen Lundberg, Opal Brillhart and Jane Peterson. Opal Brillhart won the blackout. Refreshments were served and it was decided that the June meeting will be with Mary Seaver.
Mary and Les Seaver accompanied Jo Soltron and Margie Seaver to Pittsburg, June 17, where they attended a reception for newly weds Joshua and Melinda Seaver.
Pastor Muhota and Austin Schofield were honored May 18, as graduates at the Diamond Community Church. Pastor Muhota graduated from Ozark Christian College, Joplin and Austin graduated from Fort Scott High School. Each received a gift from the church.
Special music at the the Diamond Community Church was by Rahab and Bro Muhota, who sang "I Love You Lord." Pastors sermon was the last in a series on the churches in Revelations; as the scriptures pertain to churches today. Visitors were Stephen's brother-in-laws from California, Anthony Shanklee and Wayne Carroll; Cindy and Madysin Harris, Springfield, Mo.
Carol and Brittany Bingesser and Esther Secrest were among those who enjoyed the reception honoring Austin Schofield, who was one of the grads from the Fort Scott High School. It was given by his parents, Arnold and Clara Schofield.
