St. John's United Methodist Women held their Mother-Daughter Salad Supper on Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m. The invocation was given by Sharry Rains. Approximately 50 attended the salad supper and program. Booklets and bookmarks were given to the following Mothers - Oldest Mother, Ruby Harper - Youngest Mother - Katrina Lane, Mother with Youngest Child - Amanda Cook, Mother with Most Generations - Ruby Harper and Mother that Traveled the Farthest - Diana Gow and Katrina Lane.

The tables were decorated with centerpieces of ivy and spring flowers in white vases along with miniature candy bars for favors. Names were drawn for the centerpieces. The winners were Karen Cook, Rose Good, Dawn Lamb, Katrina Lane, Beverly Malone, Jill Phillips, Rose Mary Pollard, Kathy Probis, Doris West, and Fern Wratchford. Mary Hay gave the Tribute to Daughters and Tammy Queen gave the Tribute to Mothers. The program was given by Retta Smith. Benediction was given by Sharry Rains. Everyone sang "God Be With You", accompanied by Pastor Vida.
