Kansas bureau of Investigation releases model of unidentified body discovered in Anderson County

Friday, May 9, 2008
Tribune Staff Report

The unidentified body of a white male was found in rural Anderson County 35 years ago last month. The body was found in a rural area southeast of Garnett.

The victim was described as a white male, 18 to 20 years old, 5-foot, 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He apparently had long, wavy brown hair.

A forensic artist with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has completed a forensic facial reconstruction of the man. Also, DNA examination was done at the University of North Texas Health Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation have worked closely together on this investigation in an effort to identify the victim, according to KBI Director Robert E. Blecha.

The facial reconstruction images are being released to the public for their help in identifying the victim, he said.

Anyone with any information relating to this man or his death is asked to contact the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at (785) 296-8200.

I thought this was the real paper. : ) However, yes the photo might help identify who this was. And considering this paper is also online, numerous folks from more than just Fort Scott could see and maybe help lead to the identity of this person. The photo should have been placed here as well.
