Evangelist Norman Moore will hold revival services for four days next week at the First Church of the Nazarene, 801 E. Third St.
The services will start at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday, May 11, and 7 p.m., from Monday to Wednesday.
Rev. Moore became a Christian when he was "called to preach" as an 11-year-old boy in Pueblo, Colo., according to his Web site, normanmooreministries.org. He later received his ministerial training at Pasadena College, which is now Point Loma Nazar University in San Diego, Calif., and the California Graduate School of Theology in Glendale, Calif., according to the Web site.
Rev. Moore served three years as a youth pastor and seven years as a senior pastor southern California.
He was ordained in 1973.
Six years later, he organized Norman Moore Ministries Inc., a non-profit evangelistic association. The ministries spawned local church revivals and multiple church crusades, camp meetings, retreats, missions.
"His objectives in ministry are to win the lost to Jesus Christ, assist the Christian in sanctified discipleship, lead the Church in genuine revival and encourage the pastor and spouse in their ministries," according to the site.
Rev. Moore resides in southern California with his wife, Vickie.
