A motion to revoke hearing was scheduled for May 23 in the district court. At that time, a judge will determine whether to revoke probation and possibly order jail time for Simpson, who hasn't been arrested for the alleged violation.
According to the probation violation report by community service staff, Simpson completed 40 hours of community service that was part of his sentence. He also got his General Education Diploma and secured employment at a local fast food restaurant, but has since been fired from the job.
Simpson fails to report on time to a designated probation officer. At least two or three time a week, he doesn't make it in for his scheduled appointment, according to the report. He failed to report to five appointments, the report stated.
Other alleged violations include not securing a full time job since placed on probation, not paying the $20 supervision fee to community services each month and "cooperate fully, be truthful and respectful at all times and obey the reasonable and lawful commands of community services staff and parent or legal guardian," according to the report.
Finally, the report found that Simpson failed to enter into an evaluation, counseling, treatment and/or other education program as directed by the supervision officer.
The report goes into detailed information about Simpson's conduct on each of the supposed violations, but some of the information is personal and The Fort Scott Tribune has decided not to disclose the information.

"..adhered to MOST of the probation requirements.."
wow, I wish my teacher in college would have let me have an A average because I got's A's on MOST of my tests.
I wish that cop would not have given me a speeding ticket because I alMOST was going the speed limit.
There is a reason a person is in proabation, because he alMOST didn't break the law in the first place.
This kid was involved with a underage girl. Think about it what if it was your daughter. He had rules to follow and he didn't now punish him and put him in jail.
Obviously you have never been nor dealt with anyone on probation. I understand that there are rules that need to be followed, however some of the stipulations that invoke on probationers are rather extreme. Granted, timeliness is not one of them. But a revocation for being late is absurd. That would be like firing you from your job the first time you were a minute late. Think about it.
PLEASE!!! If this kid was doing what he was suppose to he wouldn't have violated the conditions of his probation. They don't just file these revocations just because they have nothing better to do.
If he can't follow simple instructions of being on time to appointments how will he be able to even show up at a job on time.
Honestly, leave the poor kid alone. A mistake was made. He has adhered to most of the probation requirements, this is a kid that is trying to make his life right. He too, is now a victim. A victim of constant scrutiny and of the system.
