Fort Scott Tiger softball team on five game win streak

LENEXA, Kan. -- Fort Scott High School's softball team won its fifth straight game, a 9-1 decision over St. James Academy here Thursday.

Erica Davis (5-1) allowed four hits and walked three while striking out 12 for the Tigers (8-2).

Joce Allen was five for five at the plate for the Tigers, driving in two runs. She also stole four bases. Davis, Hannah Hawkins, Katelyn Simpson and Erin Coffman each had two hits. Allen and Jamie Collins each scored three runs. Hawkins and Simpson each drove in two runs.

Fort Scott hosts a make-up Southeast Kansas Legaue doubleheader against Labette County at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Don Hewett Field.
