Friday, the Blu-Jays traveled to Wichita to take part in the K.T. Woodman Relays. Pleasanton had winning results in two relays and medals in two others. There were also several other medalists.
The boys' 4x100-meter relay team with Dakota Kern, David Sowards, Danny McCullough and Alex Richmond was a winner in 46.1 seconds. The girls' 4x1 team of Brytnee Streeter, Carlee Campbell, Rachel Richmond and Megan Allen ran a 56.1 in winning.
Other boys' medalists were:
* -- Kern, Sowards, Gage Harris and Travis Bradley, third in the 4x400 in 3:52.7.
* -- Bradley, Harris, Dennis Moore and Richmond, third in the 4x800 in 10:18.4.
* -- Chris Duggins in shot put at 43 feet, 5 inches.
* -- Danny McCullough, fourth in pole vault at 11' 0" and fifth in triple jump at 37' 10".
* -- Dakota Kern, seventh in the 200 in 25 seconds flat.
* -- T.J. Davis, seventh in shot put at 40' 4".
Other girls' medalists:
* -- Allen was second in the 100 meters in 13.4 seconds, third in the 200 in 13.4 and fourth in the triple jump at 32 feet even.
* -- Campbell, fourth in long jump at 14' 5 1/2".
* -- Richmond, fifth in the 800 in 2:59.7 and tied for fifth in the high jump at 4' 6".
Monday, Pleasanton hosted its rain-delayed home invitational, which had three teams. Both teams placed second as Olathe Christ Prep won both sides of the meet.
Pleasanton's boys won seven events. Davis took shot put at 42' 3". Skyler Martin took discus at 120' 11". Tyler Myrick won high jump at 5' 6". McCullough took pole vault at 11' 0" and the 300-meter hurdles in 43.7 seconds. Fairbanks won javelin at 141' 5". And Kern, Gannon Coffman, McCullough and Richmond won the 4x100 relay in 46.0.
Girls' event winners were Richmond in high jump at 4' 8"; Allen in triple jump at 31' 9", the 100 meters in 13.1 and the 200 in 27.4; Michelle Mitchell in the pole vault at 7' 6"; Cheyanne Reynolds in javelin at 78' 0"; and the 4x100 relay team with Streeter, Campbell, Richmond and Allen in 55.2 seconds.
Also for the boys:
* -- Jon Ransier was second in high jump at 5' 4" and long jump at 16' 11 1/2" as well as fifth in the 100 meters in 12.3.
* -- Stetson Kern took second in pole vault with a mark of 9' 0".
* -- The 4x400 relay with Kern, Harris, McCullough and Richmond was second in 3:53.2.
* -- Reid Hein took third in shot put at 36' 4" and discus at 97 feet even.
* -- Kodee McKee was third in javelin at 123 feet even and fifth lin long jump at 15' 11 1/2".
* -- Dakota Kern was third in the 100 meters in 12 seconds flat and fourth in the 200 in 24.4.
* -- Myrick was third in the 300-meter hurdles in 48.7 seconds and fourth in triple jump at 32' 11 1/2".
* -- Bradley took third in the 800 meters in 2:20.1 and fourh in javelin at 122' 2".
* -- Richmond was third in the 200 meters in 24 seconds flat.
* -- Bradley, Harris, Wadel and Richmond ran the 4x800 relay in 9:32.0.
* -- Fairbanks took fourth in discus at 94' 3" and fifth in shot put at 33' 5 1/2".
* -- Harris was fourth in the 800 in 2:23.8.
* -- Rance Schoenhals was fifth in the 1,600 meters in 6:05 and the 3,200 in 13:42.
For the girls:
* -- Darla Snyder was second in the shot at 30' 1/2" and the discus at 88' 11".
* -- Campbell took second in the long jump at 14' 2" and the triple jump at 29' 9" and fifth in the 200 in 29.8.
* -- Mitchell was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.1 and third in the 300's in 60.5.
* -- Johnnea Saulsberry was second in the 400 meters in 74.4 seconds and fifth in long jump at 13' 3".
* -- Reynolds was second in the pole vault at six feet even.
* -- Kim Robinson took third in shot at 30' 1/2" and discus at 85' 9".
* -- Streeter, Saulsberry, Richmond and Reynolds were third in the 4x400 relay in 4:56.5.
* -- Mitchell, Saulsberry, Richmond and Reynolds were third in the 4x800 relay in 12:24.5.
* -- Streeter finished fourth in the 100 meters in 14.1.
The Blu-Jays will be idle until May 25 when they go to Madison.
