Survivors include three sons, Dean Brown, of Fulton, Kan., Gale Brown, of Louisburg, Kan., and Donnie Brown, of Fort Scott, Kan.; a daughter, Delma Wood, or Prescott, Kan.; five step-sons, Leon Allen, Galen, Johnny and Terry McMillen; and a step daughter Goldia Ervin. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Juanita Brown; a son, Gary Brown; a sister, Mary Beckford; a brother, Elmer Ballah, and a son-in-law, Leon Wood.
The Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, at the Cheney-Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mapleton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Cheney-Witt Chapel.
