The last Sunday in March, guests for Sunday dinner in the home of Larry and Vickie Shead were Steve and Annette Miles, Sarah and Ezra Miles, Brian and Gabrielle Studer; Terry and Rene Husberg, Mark and Haley and Katy Shead and Diana Goodbody. Annette and Gabrielle, teachers, spent 10 days in England with a fellow teacher, Polly Hermane, of Fort Scott. The two guests told of their adventure at the dinner table.

On Saturday, March 22, in celebration of Easter and birthdays for Clay Carrington, Lorene Gibson, Janetta Gibson, Becky Lee, Xan Gibson and Kaleigh Dualy, a dinner was held in the home of David, Becky and Akasha Lee in Fort Scott. Others present were Ava Gibson, Sharon Lee, Fort Scott; Ruth Dualy and family, Olathe, Kan., Mike and Vercie Keithly and family, Lamar, Mo.

On Easter Sunday evening, Peachy Bedene was escorted to Chicken Mary's by her family members, Becky and Buddy Buale, Bruce and Marty Bedene, Brittany Bedene and Cody Wickham.

Douglas Watt and Don Bassett, Wichita, went on a two-week vacation. In Dallas they saw the Charlotte Bobcats play the Dallas Mavericks and the Indiana Pacers play Dallas at the NBA basketball tournament. On Saturday, Vancouver Canucks vs. Dallas Stars played in the NHL Hockey game.

Sunday, they drove to Huston to the NBA tournament and watched the LA Lakers vs. Huston Rockets. Monday, in San Antonio, it was Rockets vs. Boston Celtics. In New Mexico the fellows visited Nutracker Suite Pecan Farms and participated in a bowling tournament. They also visited Rio Grande Zoological Parks, Albuquerque Aquarium and International UFO Museum.

Another place of interest was Sandia Peak Tramway. While in Amarillo, Texas, they toured the International UFO Museum. Two happy fellows returned home on Monday, Open Door Mission had an Easter breakfast in Arcadia Community Center on March 23. They held Easter services in their church following and had a large crowd in attendance that morning.

The last Sunday in March, Freedom and Liberty Westfall and Marissa Mongahan enjoyed the teaching and crafts with their teacher, Patty Peterson, in Arcadia Christian Church. Birthday offerings were given for Randy Watt Nuzum and Allen Watt before the worship hour. A quiz was sent to the JOY members by Gary Peterson asking for dates of important world happenings. David Peterson, pastor, was a fine substitute teacher. He continued the study of 2 Chronicles in his sermon. These thoughts are to be remembered, "The word of God brings HOPE. Hide God's word in your heart, live by it and share it."
