She is survived by her children; Melvin E. Poore of Mission, Texas, Leta Welch, of Fort Scott, and Martha Shelton, of Drexel, Mo., ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Howard Poore, four sisters; Ellen Clark, Mildred Christopher, Anita McCracken, and Ann Barnes, and three brothers; Bill Roberts, Fielding Roberts, and Floyd Roberts.
Pastor Marty DeWitt will conduct funeral services for Pearlie at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown. Burial will follow at the Uniontown Cemetery. There will be a visitation for Pearlie from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
