Anna Earldean Swanson, 85, of Fort Scott, died at the Mercy Health Center Wednesday March 19, 2008. She was born December 22, 1922, in Hiattville, Kan. the daughter of Earl Cornelius and Mary Ethelyn (Mills) Roland. She married Linnas M. Swanson Oct. 28, 1961, in Redfield, Kansas. He preceded her in death in July of 1970.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Olive Chapter.

Anna is survived by her sisters; Pauline McCord of Fort Scott, and Mary Kathryn Hall of Gardner, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Reed Hartford will conduct graveside services 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Bourbon County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home at 1 p.m. for a visitation and leave for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
