Roscoe Loehr, age 84, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Savonburg, Kansas, died March 4, 2008 at his home. He was born Aug. 13, 1923, the son of Leonard Hester and Mary Elizabeth (Wolcott) Loehr.

Roscoe married Mildred Jane (Long) on Jan. 31, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mary Loehr; his wife, Mildred; and one son, Roscoe L. "Rocky" Jr.

Roscoe is survived by one son, Elmer Wayne Loehr of Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Ellen Jane Vaughn and husband William O. of Centralia, Mo.; Susan M. Komornik and husband Phillip A., from Laurel, Md.; two granddaughters, Lisa M. Franiuk and husband Paul D. of Kansas City, Mo.; Dr. Elizabeth Jane Oetting, D.V.M. and husband Andrew of Emma, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Judith Marie Franiuk, Kathleen Nicole Franiuk, and Alessandra Jane Oetting.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran; burial to follow at the Bronson Cemetery in Bronson, Kansas. Family will be present to greet friends at the funeral home at 10 a.m. prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be left in care of the funeral home to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
