She was born July 26, 1919, in Uniontown, the daughter of Marshall and Lottie Belle Holt. She was a graduate of Uniontown High School. Virginia was retired from a 37-year career as cook for the U-235 school system. Her life was devoted to her church, the Uniontown United Methodist Church. She held many church offices throughout the years and spent many years taking care of the nursery.
Virginia is survived by her niece and care giver, Betty Dennis, Uniontown; two great-nieces and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Holt and an infant brother; and two sisters, Maxine Dennis Burt and Faye Brown.
The Rev. Joel Dunn will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday in the Uniontown United Methodist Church. Friends may meet for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. The casket will be closed at the church. Burial will follow in the Uniontown Cemetery. Friends may call at Cheney Witt Chapel anytime Thursday for viewing.
