Marjorie Maxine Clark, 93, formerly of Fort Scott and Fulton, Kansas and Hume, Mo. died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler, Mo.
She was born Sept. 14, 1914, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Lewis S. and Cora E. Spearman Wadley.
She attended school in Fort Scott and during World War II she worked at the Defense Plant in Wichita, Kan.
She married Raymond Floyd Clark on March 24, 1946, in Fort Scott. They farmed near Prescott, Kan. until Raymond's death on April 22, 1977, at which time Marjorie moved to Hume, Mo. where she lived until Oct. 16, 1997, when she moved to Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler, Mo.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hume, Mo.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lewis Wadley, Jr.
The Rev. Steve Knoll will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., Fort Scott, Kan., for a visitation, and leave for the cemetery at 10:45a.m.
