Bronson Seniors meet for dinner

Ham, beans and cornbread prepared by John and Margaret Alien and Diana Glaze was enjoyed by 25 senior citizens at the monthly Senior Citizens covered dish dinner held in the Bronson United Methodist Church annex on Jan. 18.

Julia Ann Rhoton gave the invocation Ms Rhoton and Diana Glaze recited several readings for the program.

Birthdays were celebrated by Edna Marie Jackson and Elvis Reeder. Those celebrating January anniversaries were Dave and Joyce Wilkinson, Bill and Julia Ann Rhoton and Jim and Thora Shinn. Several senior citizens were unable to be present due to illness and the cold weather.

It was announced that the Ruritan Club had collected over 6,500 pounds of paper for the paper drive in lola in January.

The July meeting will be a brunch at 10 a.m. instead of the usual breakfast meeting held at 7:30 a.m. as in years past.
