Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of the home; four sons, Richard Lee Probis, Sr., James G. Fleharty, Jr., both of Fort Scott, Gary Nolan Fleharty, Parsons, Kansas, and John Trebian, Bronaugh, Missouri; a daughter, Margorie Evelyn O'Toole, Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Joel Fleharty, New Plymouth, Idaho and Nolan Fleharty, Creston, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren including Shane Wilburn whom he raised and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Connie.
The Rev. Jared Witt will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the U. S. National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Olson Frary Burkhart Post No. 1165 Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
