Charles Leonard Cuthbertson, age 65, resident of 25 Golfview Drive, Fort Scott, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 05, 2008, at his home. He was born July 12, 1942 in Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Leonard J. Cuthbertson and Mary Gibson Cuthbertson. Charles was disabled due to a motorcycle accident at the age of 14. He lived his entire life in Girard prior to moving to Fort Scott in 1995. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte Crawford and husband Charles, Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Catherine Wutke with whom he made his home in Fort Scott. Also surviving is a niece, Lindsey Schneider and a nephew, Brent Crawford; two great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Sam Wutke.

Rev. Ken Cuthbertson will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church in Girard. The eulogy will be given by Brent Crawford. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery. Friends may call at Cheney Witt Chapel in Fort Scott or the Girard Presbyterian Church after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
