Mildred Irene Todd, age 96, a resident of Fort Scott, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at the Mercy Health Center. She was born July 28, 1911, in Muskogee, Okla., the daughter of George F. Rei and Lucretia Beckford Rei. She married Stuart E. Todd on Dec. 24, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Todd was a member of the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Sharon Boan, Iola, Kan., and Alice Holmes, Rose Hill, Kan., and a cousin, Joyce Sipe, Devon, Kan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Junior Rei and a sister, Dorothy Boyer.

Father Darrin May will conduct graveside services at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 24, at the St. Michael's Cemetery near Fulton, Kan. Family and friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott.
