Loved ones get together through good times, bad times
Amanda and Ethan Smilie, Irving, Texas, spent a weekend the last of September with their parents, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh and Dale and Patty Smilie. Amanda Smilie celebrated her birthday at McDonald's, Saturday at noon with, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh, Brad and Bethany Blubaugh and Max, Dale and Patty and Kip Smilie, Bob and Francis Fursman, Colony, and Don and Sharon and Sam Madison, Wichita. Saturday evening, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh hosted a cookout. Guest was Ethan and Amanda Smilie, Dale, Patty and Kip Smilie. Bob and Frances Fursman, Dora Kobus, Raymond and Marie Barker, Duane and Dian Hastert, Brad, Bethany and Max Blubaugh. Ethan and Amanda Smilie, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh, Brad. Bethany and Max Blubaugh enjoyed a chicken dinner at Dale and Patty Smilie's. Also enjoying the celebration was Dora Kobus. who provided an ice cream birthday cake for Amanda. All had a good time.
Several weeks ago Date and Betty Hixon, Dorothy DeCoudres, and Esther Secrest traveled to Springfield to see Dorothy's brother. Carl and Helen Secrest.
Betty Hixon enjoyed watching her grandson. Clayton Hixon play football recently in Nevada. They only lost by one point, but all in all was a very good game.
Visiting with Margie Lewis recently was her granddaughter. Tiffany Lewis, Kansas City. Joining them one morning for a breakfast of biscuits and gravy were Kitty and Aimee Lewis, and Beverly Peel.
Margie Lewis joined several other family and friends a few weeks ago and attended the 6th birthday party of her great-grandson, Brady Peel, at Gunn Park.
Beverly Peel accompanied her mother. Marjorie Lewis at the Diamond Church for the 70th birthday of the Jolly Circle Club.
Joe and Shirley White enjoyed having their daughter, Debbie, and her son, Gentry, and Tera Anderson visit a few weeks ago.
Joe and Shirley White attended the Wutke, Adams and Deeds family reunion held at Gunn Park a few weeks ago.
Dale and Betty Hixon hosted their family Thanksgiving dinner for the following family members. Dorothy DeCoudres, Denton and Annette Hixon and Raven, Lois Reader alt of Uniontown, Berry and Dana Button, Alissa and Alex of Redfield, and DeAnn Hixon.
Ron and Linda Center enjoyed their family eating with them on Thanksgiving. Coming by later in the day were Linda's cousins Shawn and Dixie Hereford Houston, Texas. Bill and Laurie Center phoned their Thanksgiving greetings, and enjoyed talking to each family member. Bill, Laurie and Grant Center plan to come for Christmas on Thursday, Dec. 20.
Wayne and Marge Stringer were Thanksgiving dinner guest of their daughter, Jim and Rhonda Allen, Scott and Marliss on Saturday. Joining them were Jim and Cynthia Stringer, Chris and Andrea Stringer and Genna all of Rogers, Ark., Ryan and Elizabeth Kinnaman, Siloam Springs, Ark., Randy and Valerie Stringer Bartlesville, Okla., Ryan and Jennifer Madisyn and Wyatt, Rose Hill, Matthew Stringer Pittsburg, Hilary and Kamry Hutchinson.
Joe and Shirley White, his parents, Earl and Laurel White, his sister, Patty and Gary Coleman, all of Prescott, enjoyed a trip recently to Colorado Springs, Colo., where they visited with Earl's sister, Fred and Leta Hyer and their daughter, Mary and Berry Welsh and family. Earl and Mary are the only siblings left of their family. They stayed three nights with them and enjoyed touring the Garden of the Gods, Cripple Creek and Cheyenne Canyon. On their trip home, they enjoyed going through Santo Fe. New Mexico. In the week they were gone, they traveled over 1900 miles.
Shirley White enjoyed joining 25 ladies of the Prescott Ladies Breakfast Club in Louisburg, at the Timber Creek Restaurant.
Ron and Linda Center hosted a youth fellowship after church on Sunday, Nov. 4. They served several Mexican dishes, fresh raw vegetables, cookies and a birthday cake in honor of Brandy Rhoades birthday. Brandy is the wife of Youth Pastor Brian Rhoades.
Joe and Shirley White enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner with all of her brothers and their families at the home of her brother, Bitt and Donna Adams in Burlington.
Ron, Linda, Scott and James Center traveled to Clinton, Mo. for the cauterization of Ron's sister, Nadine Easter, on Tuesday, Nov. 6. and back for her five bypass surgery on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Ron and Linda Center traveled to Clinton, Mo. Saturday, Nov. 3, to visit with Nadine Easter and family. All enjoyed a delicious dinner of spaghetti and all of the trimmings.
Thanksgiving Day, Jerry and Sue Mildfelt hosted Thanksgiving dinner for their children, Leanne Burris and her friend Kevin. Tom and Sandy Mildfelt and Hunter, and Sandy's dad, Irvin Dierkie all of Parsons, and her parents, Tony and Buena Karleskint.

Roger and Kristin Simpson Jonas and Harley, Double Oak, Texas, visited his parents, Carney and Estalee Simpson from Nov. 20-24. Thanksgiving Day they all traveled to the home of Ray and Carol Carter and boys, Lenexa, and Mike and Janet Keefer and Matthew also of Lenexa, joined them.
Ron. Linda and James Center traveled to Kansas City for a doctor's appointment. They also enjoyed eating and did a bit of shopping before returning home.

Ron and Linda Center visited with Frank Hereford, Becky Canada, Shown and Dixie Hereford Saturday night. Shawn and Dixie left for Houston very early Sunday morning.
Friday noon, Ron and Leah Lewis hosted a turkey and ham meal which included, green bean casserole, cherry coke salad, relish plate, cucumbers. sweet potatoes, noodles, cheese dip and chips, cranberry apple delight, pumpkin pie. Joining them were; Mr. And Mrs. Bill Lewis. Lisa and Taelor. David and Carol Lewis, Mattie, Kate, and Sofe all of Kansas City, Rod and Stephanie Pace. Nick. Grant. Abby and Eli all of Webb City, and Marjorie Lewis.
The youth department and the Calvary Class of Grace Baptist Tabernacle enjoyed a bowling party recently. They enjoyed eating at McDonald's and Long John Silvers on the way back from Pittsburg.
Marjorie Lewis hosted lunch for her grandson Jason Lewis Iraq, Monday. Nov. 26. Joining them were, Ron and Leah Lewis, David Lewis, Kansas City. All enjoyed meat loaf, creamed peas and potatoes, relish plate, and topped it all off with strawberry short cake. Jason was enjoying some of his favorite dishes made by his grandmother. Marjorie. before returning back to Iraq. Dec. 4. You have our love. respect, and appreciation for the sacrifices you are making, Jason. May God go with you, and return you home again to us.

Ron, Linda and James Center traveled to Oklahoma City, Nov. 11-14. They visited with Linda's aunt, Helen Young, and her cousin, Larry Young in Owasso. Okla. on the way down, and came back through Wichita, and visited with Frank and Gypsy Hereford, Becky Canada and her son Cory.
