The money will go into FSPD's K-9 program. The fundraiser was put on by the Fort Scott Elks Lodge No. 579, the Modern Woodmen group and the Fort Scott Middle School Washington Workshop. A steak dinner on Sept. 29 was held at the Elks lodge to raise the funds for the FSPD K-9 program.

The Modern Woodmen of America co-sponsored a fundraiser Oct. 7 to benefit the Fort Scott Elks Lodge No. 579. The fundraiser included a three-person scramble golf tournament at Sunny Meadows Gold Course.
