The church's annual Fall Harvest Auction will be conducted Oct.27.

The Thrift Club members at e lunch at Max's Way Station on Oct. 3. After lunch, they went to the home of Revay Brannan for their meeting. Dorothy Ketner conducted the session and led the group in the salute to the American flag.
Reports were given.Anna Rourk thanked the club for her card when she was ill. "Guess Whats" were won by Dorothy Ketner (Scotch tape) and Esther Secrest, who guessed chili seasoning was in that package. Bing was played with all attending winning. Beulah Queen won the blackout prize. The November meeting will be with Juanita Dominguez.
The Rev. Stephen Muhota was chose to be the pastor at the Diamond Community Church for the coming year. Other officers elected at the annual business meeting, Sept. 27, were Esther Secrest, Sunday School superintendent; Opal Brillhart, secretary-treasurer; and Clara Schofield, pianist. Barbara Albright was elected to the church board. Arnold Schofield will be the chairman of the board. Clara was voted church treasurer with Ted Koller as assistant treasurer.
Several from this community attended the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds Sept. 29 and 30. They said they really enjoyed the music and the people making sorghum and shucking corn. The women enjoyed all the beautiful quilts that were displayed.
The Rev. Muhota's sermon on Sept. 30 was titled, "The Good Soil." The fourth message in in a series, "The Kingdom of God; Wheat and Tares." Scripture was from Matthew 13 and 13:24-30. The special was "It is Well With My Soul."
Judy Howser is home after spending some time in the hospital. We hope her health continues to improve.
