Kevin graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School with several honors including National Honor Society and the FFA - Kansas State Farmer Degree award. He graduated Magna Cum Lada from Fort Scott Community College, and then graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He was a member of the Blue Mound United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Connie, and her children, Darrin Wood and Angel, Shannon and Jessica Rains, and Nathan Carey, all of Fort Scott, Ks., he is survived by his parents, Allen and Wilma Broyles of Blue Mound, Ks., and by two sisters, Beverly Broyles Harvey of Perryton, Texas, and Barbi Broyles Savage of Fort Scott, and two brothers, Dwayne Broyles and Terry Broyles, both of Blue Mound, Ks., six grandchildren and two grandchildren on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Wilbert.
A visitation was held on Sunday evening, October 7, 2007, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
