ALTAMONT -- Fort Scott High's freshmen volleyball team went 1-2 in a quadrangular here Tuesday night.

Fort Scott lost its first match, 25-10, 25-21, to host Labette County. Sammi Newton, Morgan Tourtillott and Chelsea Wollenberg each had two kills for the Tigers.

The Tigers lost to Parsons, 25-19, 25-19. Tourtillott and Brooke Gillen each had three kills.

Fort Scott defeated Independence in three games, 25-17, 18-25, 15-8. Newton had five kills while Gillen had four.

The Tigers, 11-18, return here Monday to face Labette County and Parsons. This will be the freshmen's final action of the season.
