Highland sweeps Greyhounds

Fort Scott Community College's volleyball team lost its 11th consecutive match Wednesday night as the Greyhounds were swept by Highland in Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division play at Arnold Arena, 30-19, 30-27, 30-22.

Fort Scott, which has been swept in each of its last four matches and six of its last seven, fell to 0-6 in the division and 1-18 overall.

The Greyhounds did have some good stretches of play. A pair of Ashleigh Bryson ace serves helped bring the 'Hounds within 28-27 in game two after a 6-1 run.

Fort Scott also had an 8-1 run to tie game three at 21-21 before Highland, 4-2, 12-9, scored nine of the last 11 of the match.

The Greyhounds travel to Pratt this weekend for a two-day tournament. They host Independence in KJCCC action Wednesday night at 6:30.
