William Lee Moore, Jr., age 68, resident of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Friday, September 21, 2007 at Mercy Health Center. He was born April 8, 1939 in Santa Ana, California, the son of William Lee Moore Sr., and Virgia May Milton Moore. He was a 1957 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He married Shirley Rogers in 1958. She preceded him in death. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. His hobbies included following the national motor cross circuit with his son.

Survivors include two sons; Ronald Moore and wife Sheryl, Shawnee, Kansas, and Rex Moore and wife Stacey, Moran, Kansas; one brother, Donnie Moore and wife Zo, Hammond, Kansas, and Patrician Oakes and husband Michael Olson, Buffalo, Kansas. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Rev. Jim Wakeland will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the U.S. National Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Olson Frary Burkhart Post # 1165 V.F.W. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
